protection - discovery - peace - reconciliation

Sirius is the brightest star in the heavens and quite close to Earth, only 8.7 light years away. It is a binary system with a companion white dwarf star called Sirius B. Sirius is known as the dog star because it is the brightest star in the constellation Canis Major. The heliacal rising of Sirius, when it was first visible before the Sun, was highly significant to the ancient Egyptians as it marked the beginning of the annual flooding of the Nile and the first day of their solar year.

Sirius also was the beginning star of the Egyptian Decan calendar. The period between the combustion and heliacal rising of Sirius is known as the “dog days” of summer as it takes place in midsummer.

What is a talisman? How do talismans work? Do I have to wear my talisman every day for it to work? These are some of the most commonly asked questions people have when they get their first talisman, so we will cover these first.

Think of a talisman as a supercharged object or battery, full of power ready to be used. From time to time, the power of the battery needs to be recharged so it can perform at its maximum potential again. Talismans are similar to batteries in the sense that they need to be reconsecrated now and then, or sometimes regularly, for them to work efficiently as we build our personal connection with the energy of the talisman or the spirit that rules it

The Renaissance mage Cornelius Agrippa says, “Under the Greater Dog Star, they made an image of an hound and a little virgin; it bestoweth honour and good will, and the favor of men, and aerial spirits, and giveth the power to pacify and reconcile kings, princes, and other men.”

Three Book of Occult Philosophy, Book II, chapter 47. Hermes on the 15 Fixed Stars says of the talisman of Sirius that it, “...grants the favor of the spirits of the air and the peoples of the earth, and brings peace and concord between kings and other potentates, and between husbands and wives.” Agrippa discusses the construction of rings using astrological magic and his instructions are applicable to talismans as well, “...when any star ascends fortunately, with the fortunate aspect or conjunction of the Moon, we must take a stone, and herb that is under that star, and make a ring of that metal that is suitable to this star and fasten the stone, putting the herb, or root under it; not omitting the inscriptions of images, names and characters, also the proper suffumigations...” Three Books of Occult Philosophy Bk. I, Chapter 47, (Tyson ed.) page 140.

The Sirius Talisman was consecrated by Maria Praena who has been an astrological magic practitioner for more than 5+ years of experience. The Lady Sirius Talisman comes with a detailed PDF guide about the Fixed Star Sirius, consecration guidelines and etiquette to help you build a long-lasting relationship with Sirius and more.
