Eclipse Season 101 – The Webs Of Fate

Eclipse Season Survival Guide

Navigating the Shadows, Shifts & New Beginnings of 2026

The Virgo–Pisces closing chapter & the Leo–Aquarius awakening

Eclipse season has a reputation for being dramatic: sudden endings, unexpected beginnings, emotional revelations and cosmic plot twists.

But eclipses aren't here to frighten you.

They're invitations to pay attention to the patterns that unfold in our everyday life; some of these are recurring themes we’ve been carrying for a long time. Sometimes, eclipses present themselves as quiet revelations, a change in fate, and an invitation to surrender.

An eclipse can illuminate something that has been quietly developing beneath the surface—a relationship that has changed, a dream that no longer fits, an identity you've outgrown, or a path that suddenly feels impossible to ignore.

Rather than thinking of eclipses as events that cause chaos, think of them as turning points within longer stories.

Sometimes they open a door.

Sometimes they close another.

And sometimes you only understand what an eclipse was showing you months later.

2026 is particularly significant because we're standing between two astrological chapters.

The Virgo–Pisces eclipse story is closing, while the Lunar Nodes move into Aquarius and Leo, beginning a new eighteen-month cycle.

ECLIPSES 101

So... what actually is an eclipse in Astrology?

Eclipses occur when the Sun, Moon and Earth align closely with the Lunar Nodes.

Astrologically, they are associated with periods of heightened awareness, acceleration and change. In traditional astrology, Eclipses had an inauspicious connotation; they were seen as a bad omen in most cases. In modern astrology, eclipses are more neutral, sometimes auspicious when surrounded by positive planets, other times challenging when aspected negatively.

☀️ SOLAR ECLIPSE

A doorway opens.

Solar Eclipses happen at New Moons.

They can bring:

  • new opportunities

  • changes in identity

  • fresh perspectives

  • new relationships or communities

  • creative beginnings

  • unexpected paths forward

Think of a Solar Eclipse as the starting point of the chapter that is about to unfold.

You may know something new has begun without knowing exactly what it will become.

🌕 LUNAR ECLIPSE

Something comes to light.

Lunar Eclipses happen at Full Moons.

They can bring:

  • revelations

  • endings

  • emotional breakthroughs

  • important conversations

  • completion

  • changes in perspective

Think of a Lunar Eclipse as turning on the light in a room you haven't looked at for a while. A powerful revelation that continues to gain prominence over the upcoming months.

The most important thing to remember:

Eclipse season isn’t a time to set intentions or take drastic changes. It’s a time to observe, reflect, and pay attention to the signs.

THE LUNAR NODES

The Lunar Nodes are mathematical points where the Moon's orbit crosses the Sun's apparent path.

There are two:

☊ NORTH NODE

The area in our lives that feels foreign, uncomfortable, but essential for our own evolution and that points out to true calling – an area we must explore in order to find true fulfillment on a soul level.

The North Node points toward unfamiliar territory, growth, and experiences that expand us.

It asks:

What happens if I try something different?

☋ SOUTH NODE

What we're releasing. An area in our life that feels strangely familiar, where our natural talents reside, our assets, and the abilities that make us unique.

The South Node represents familiar patterns, habits, and identities that may no longer support who we're becoming.

It asks:

What am I ready to stop carrying?

The South Node isn't about throwing everything away.

Some things are worth keeping.

The invitation is to distinguish between what is familiar and what is actually nourishing.

Every eighteen months or so, the Nodes move into a new pair of signs, changing the themes of the eclipse cycle.

CLOSING THE VIRGO–PISCES CHAPTER

2025–2026

For the past eighteen months, eclipses have explored the Virgo–Pisces axis.

This has been a story about finding balance between:

control & surrender

logic & intuition

productivity & rest

perfection & acceptance

♍ VIRGO

Virgo teaches us:

  • discernment

  • organisation

  • routines

  • practical skills

  • healthy boundaries

  • improvement

But its shadow can become:

  • perfectionism

  • over-analysis

  • self-criticism

  • excessive productivity

  • trying to fix everything

♓ PISCES

Pisces teaches us:

  • intuition

  • imagination

  • compassion

  • spirituality

  • dreams

  • surrender

But its shadow can become:

  • escapism

  • avoidance

  • confusion

  • idealisation

  • weak boundaries

The lesson isn't choosing Virgo or Pisces.

It's learning when to use both.

Sometimes you need a plan.

Sometimes you need to let the plan go.

Before moving forward, ask yourself:

What have the last eighteen months taught me about control, surrender, perfection, and trust?

WELCOME TO AQUARIUS & LEO

A NEW 18-MONTH STORY

On July 26, 2026, the Lunar Nodes move into:

Aquarius North Node

Leo South Node

They will remain here until March 2028.

This shifts the focus from:

"How can I improve myself?"

toward:

"What can I contribute to those around me?"

The new story is about the relationship between ME and WE.

♒ AQUARIUS — NORTH NODE

Where we're going

Aquarius invites us toward:

  • community

  • friendship

  • collaboration

  • innovation

  • authenticity

  • collective ideas

  • new perspectives

  • the future

  • belonging without conformity

The Aquarian archetype asks:

Where do I belong?

What can I contribute?

Who are my people?

♌ LEO — SOUTH NODE

What we're releasing

Leo represents:

  • creativity

  • confidence

  • visibility

  • passion

  • self-expression

  • leadership

  • joy

But its South Node shadow can include:

  • needing approval

  • performing for attention

  • excessive pride

  • comparison

  • needing to be the centre of the story

The invitation isn't to stop shining.

It's to stop needing others' approval; you’re already perfect the way you are.

  • It’s important to note that, while these are major themes associated with the astrological archetypes, another way to decode the meaning of the eclipses is to see in which astrological house the eclipses will fall in your natal chart. Understanding which houses Leo and Aquarius rule in your chart will give you a deeper insight into the themes that will become prominent in your life for the upcoming months.

THE 2026 ECLIPSE PORTAL

2026 is a bridge between two eclipse stories.

FEBRUARY 17

☀️ Solar Eclipse — Aquarius

A first glimpse of the new Aquarius story.

MARCH 3

🌕 Lunar Eclipse — Virgo

The final Virgo eclipse of the previous cycle.

JULY 26

North Node enters Aquarius

South Node enters Leo

The new nodal cycle begins.

AUGUST 12

☀️ Solar Eclipse — Leo

The first eclipse following the nodal shift.

A powerful invitation to rethink identity, creativity, confidence and the need for external validation.

AUGUST 27

🌕 Lunar Eclipse — Pisces

The final Pisces eclipse of the Virgo–Pisces story.

A moment for emotional closure, surrender and release.

THE AUGUST TRANSITION

August is particularly interesting because we are simultaneously:

beginning a new story and finishing the old one.

You may feel both impulses at once.

You may want to release something while beginning something completely new.

You may want to retreat and connect.

Rest and create.

Become more independent and find your people.

You don't need to resolve the contradiction.

You're in a transition period.

WORKING WITH ECLIPSE SEASON

You don't need to fear eclipse season.

And you don't need to put your life on hold.

Instead, approach it with awareness rather than urgency.

✦ OBSERVE

Notice recurring themes, conversations, emotions, and opportunities.

✦ JOURNAL

Write down what is actually happening before turning it into a story.

✦ REST

Your nervous system doesn't need to participate in every cosmic plot twist.

✦ STAY CURIOUS

Instead of:

Why is this happening to me?

Try:

What is this showing me?

✦ LEAVE ROOM FOR SURPRISES

You don't have to know where the story is going.

✦ KEEP YOUR AGENCY

Astrology offers symbolism and perspective.

It doesn't make your decisions for you.

ECLIPSE SEASON REMINDER

You don't have to:

  • force an ending

  • chase certainty

  • make an impulsive decision

  • interpret every inconvenience as a cosmic sign

  • abandon your boundaries

  • fear the unknown

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is simply notice what is changing.

10 ECLIPSE REFLECTIONS

Take your time with these. You don't need to answer all ten at once. Burn your favourite incense, light up a candle, brew your favourite tea and

01 — THE MASK

Where am I performing a version of myself that no longer feels authentic?

02 — THE MIRROR

Where am I looking outside myself for validation?

03 — THE RELEASE

What am I holding onto simply because it is familiar?

04 — THE DREAM

What dream keeps returning, even when I try to ignore it?

05 — THE COMMUNITY

Where do I feel that I truly belong?

06 — THE FUTURE

If I stopped trying to recreate my past, what future would I choose?

07 — THE CONTROL

What am I trying to control that may need to be surrendered?

08 — THE ROUTINE

Which habits genuinely support the person I am becoming?

09 — THE CONTRIBUTION

What do I have to offer that could make someone else's life better?

10 — THE THRESHOLD

What am I ready to leave behind—and what am I willing to step toward?

THE ECLIPSE GATEWAY

A 5-CARD TAROT / ORACLE SPREAD

Pull these cards at the beginning of eclipse season.

Then return to your reading a few weeks later.

You may be surprised by what makes sense in hindsight.

CARD ONE

What chapter is ending?

or

What is naturally reaching completion?

CARD TWO

What am I being asked to release?

or

What belief, attachment or pattern is ready to loosen?

CARD THREE

What wants to emerge?

or

What new possibility is beginning to take shape?

CARD FOUR

How can I support myself through this transition?

or

What resource, quality or practice will help me?

CARD FIVE

What gift is waiting on the other side?

or

What might this transition ultimately teach or reveal?

A LITTLE TAROT REMINDER

There are no "bad" cards.

Your cards don't need to predict your future.

Use them as mirrors.

If a card doesn't make sense immediately, write down your first impression and return to it later.

Sometimes the meaning arrives after the event rather than before it.

THE FINAL DOOR

Every eclipse season eventually ends.

The sky settles.

The Moon keeps moving.

And life becomes ordinary again.

But perhaps you aren't quite the same person who entered the season.

Maybe you've released something.

Maybe you've begun something.

Maybe you've simply realised that something no longer feels right.

That's enough.

The purpose of eclipse season isn't to predict every twist in your story.

It's to become more present for the story you're already living. To understand the patterns that you carry and that shape your life.

As Virgo–Pisces gives way to Leo–Aquarius, we're being invited to move:

from perfection → authenticity

from control → trust

from performance → expression

from "me" → "we"

from seeking approval → meaningful contribution

So stand at the threshold.

You don't need the whole map.

You don't need to know exactly what comes next.

You only need to notice what is calling you forward.

And when you're ready—

take the next step.

ECLIPSE SEASON MANTRAS

I release what no longer belongs to me.

I trust what is unfolding.

I don't need to perform my worth.

I make space for what wants to emerge.

I belong without abandoning myself.

I step into the next chapter with curiosity, courage & an open heart.

May you release what has become too heavy,
remember what makes you shine,
find the people who feel like home,
and step bravely toward whatever comes next.
